Medtronic and stroke care providers experiencing and designing solutions to enhance stroke patient journey

The symposium moderator, Dr. Suhail Abdulla Mohamed Al-Rukn, Associated Prof. Neurology, Consultant Neurologist, Head of Stroke Center at Rashid Hospital Dubai, highlighted Acute Ischemic Stroke requirement and solutions in hospital and country setting. A key highlight was the UAE optimization programs that the government is deriving with healthcare professionals with focus on artificial intelligence and RAPID software created at Rashid Hospital, a comprehensive stroke center.

Over 11,000 patients receive neurology clinics services at SEHA

ABU DHABI, 7th September, 2019 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, is at the forefront of epilepsy diagnosis and treatment in adults and children, actively advancing patient care in neurology and providing the best possible outcomes for patients.

As the fourth most common neurological illness, since 2017, more than 11,700 patients have received the highest-level of medical and surgical care across SEHA network neurology clinics at Tawam Hospital, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Mafraq Hospital, and Al Rahba Hospital.

Top experts highlight need for comprehensive stroke care in the UAE

‘Need for more dedicated stroke centres across UAE’

A consultant neurologist in Dubai who leads a non-profit organization in the Middle East and North Africa with regards improving awareness and treatment outcomes on stroke has reiterated the need for more dedicated stroke centers across the UAE as studies in the last two years have revealed that over 10,000 cases of the preventable condition have been recorded each year.
